Virginia's Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry exists for public safety and community awareness. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create credit reports, background reports, or any other consumer report. Its advertising partners are not presented as tools for regulated screening. A user may not rely on this site or a linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally required check must be obtained from the proper official or FCRA-compliant channel, not from this site or its search widget.
